TREATMENT AREAS
-
Lip shape, volume, and definition vary naturally between individuals and may change over time. Some people seek a consultation to discuss concerns about lip proportion, symmetry, or age-related volume changes.
At Bare Aesthetics, we take a conservative, progressive approach to lip enhancements, always with a natural aesthetic end point in mind.
-
The mid-face includes the cheeks and surrounding structures, which can change over time due to age-related volume loss. These changes may affect facial contours, the youthful curvature and overall facial balance.
-
The chin and pre-jowl area play a vital role in facial balance and lower face support. Age-related changes may include reduced chin projection, increased heaviness through the lower face, and the development of pre-jowl and marionette lines which can affect overall facial harmony.
-
The temples may appear flatter or more hollow over time due to age-related volume changes. Temple shape varies naturally between individuals.
-
The area in front of the ears contributes to the overall transition between the face and jawline. Changes in this region can occur with age as facial volume and tissue support change.
-
The jawline helps define the lower face and facial profile. Its appearance is influenced by bone structure, soft tissue, and age-related anatomical changes.
-
Also known as Smokers Lines. Perioral lines are the fine vertical lines that can develop around the upper lip through repeated lip movement and the natural ageing process. They may become more noticeable over time.
-
Some people notice fine dynamic lines and reduced skin support in areas such as the upper lip, around the eyes, and smile lines. Individual skin quality, facial movement, and ageing patterns vary from person to person.
-
The pyriform fossa is the area beside the base of the nose. Age-related structural changes in this region may influence the appearance of the mid-face and heaviness in the nasolabial fold.
-
Nasolabial folds are the natural lines that extend from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. They can become deeper over time due to changes in facial volume, skin elasticity, and facial anatomy.

Wrinkle reduction will feel like a slight pinch or sting. While volume replacing treatments, skin remodeling and rejuran can be slightly more uncomfortable.
Rest assured, all of our premium volumising products are pre-mixed with a numbing agent, we also use a very fine needle to minimise pain, and a strong topical numbing cream is always used for lip treatments. For other areas, it may be requested.
We also offer a range of tools to help with pain and discomfort, such as a vibration device. Our treatments are generally well tolerated by our clients.
-
As we age, natural volume loss and changes in facial structure, soft tissue, and skin support can alter facial contours and overall facial balance.
During your consultation, a registered nurse will assess your facial anatomy, discuss your concerns and treatment goals, and determine whether treatment is appropriate for you. Any recommendations are tailored to your individual needs.
-
Results are instantly visible after treatment. For the next 8 weeks, they will continue to improve, resulting in a seamless look once it has fully settled into the skin.
-
This depends on the treated area, dose administered, product used, your metabolism and physical activity level. Generally, volume enhancement can last between 6-24 months.
-
Yes. If you have a history of cold sores, please let your clinician know before your appointment. We recommend commencing an antiviral medication before treatment to help reduce the risk of an outbreak.
Treatment cannot be performed if you have an active cold sore or any active infection in the treatment area.
-
Volume enhancement treatments are not permanent, and their duration depends on factors such as the product used, the area treated, and individual metabolic factors.
Upon discontinuing treatments, the treated area will gradually return to its baseline appearance. This process is not sudden, and the changes are usually subtle.
It's important to note that the aging process continues in the areas where it has been treated. Consequently, you may notice additional volume loss as the product gradually diminishes or if you opt to have the product dissolved.
